I e-mailed J.V. on this but got no response. I was hoping some of you fans might be able to help me locate these words used in the books:
"Glint lake". Mentioned in Grey Ice near the latter half of the book. Does anyone know what makes a glint lake different from any other lake?
"Mummah." Mentioned in Marafice Eye's battle in the clanholds, he wipes his blade on it. WHAT is a mummah? I couldn't find it anywhere!
"Brain hook." NO idea what this is supposed to look like. Mentioned in the use of hanging meat and on men's belts.
Anyone have any luck in locating the meanings of these words?[/i]

Okay a Glint Lake:
a lake formed at the erosionally susceptible region where hard basement rocks emerge beneath a softer, sedimentary cover. Example is Lake Superior in Canada

A brain hook was an instrument used in ancient Egypt to liquefy and scoop brain out during the mummification process. (Ewww) I am not sure though if this is applicable in relation to the story. I don't remember it. Perhaps you can reference the chapter / page so that we can have a bit of an analyse regarding this.

Mummah - really don't know. Once again if you can reference the chapter / page, so that we can have a reread, would be great.

Page 157 of Red Ice, top of page, is where "mummah" is mentioned. Anyone got ANY data about this would be fan-tas-tic.
