The Net- Websites

Postby Red_Phobos on Wed Aug 20, 2008 10:32 am

I love the internet, for all its faults, and spend far too much time on it. As it's such a big, sprawling place, there are lots of gems that an individual might never find on their own... So I thought I'd suggest a couple of sites that I like. Maybe you'll have seen them, maybe not. If not, I hope you find some thing you like.

http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0001.html - An online fantasy-style
webcomic. Very funny, IMO, and well worth it.

http://www.lfgcomic.com/ - Is similar, if not quite as good, as OOTS.

http://zaproot.com/ - A funky "Green-themed" website, a video-blog type
thing. After the annoying intro tune, it's usually excellent for finding little gadgets or bits of info.

If you want to post links of your own, please stick to a Maximum of 3! I look forward to seeing what people have found.

PS: StumbleUpon is a great toolbar for browsing the web.

This is again on the entertainment side of things, but has anyone watched Red vs Blue?

If you've ever played Halo, you have to- either on Roosterteeth's website, or on YouTube. Start from the beginning and not on the new stuff! The first episode is a little weak- but it's a brilliant concept.

Di:

The second link you posted only leads to a rules page?

http://theweblist.net/ - Shows the most popular sites/stories on the web every day. Some good stuff there.

LOL! I know :D
The rules page is actually the first riddle. Go figure. I spent a long time looking to the "start" or "go" or "begin" or any such thing, but to no avail. As I say it is actually the first riddle, look at everything, very lateral thinking required. You are a smart gal, so I will leave it at that and let you glare at it a bit longer...

Oh. LOL! I am sorry. Your avatar is a little misleading. Well in that case, you're a smart bloke, I will leave you to it.

Its ok Witch, and sorry phobos, but i thought the same thing when i first saw your name/avatar. Only through the power of gleening was i able to determine otherwise.

The web in 3D. Not very practical but amusing.

I just liked the drawing, which is, incidentally, of Tifa from FF7- I can't claim credit for it though. So maybe I'll stick with the baby elephant for a while lol.
