So did anybody see any shooting stars last night? Some middle-of-the-road singer\songwriters actually like to catch them. Wink

NASA has classified the 3200 Phaethon as a PHA (potentially hazardous asteroid). I'm sure this information will help you all sleep better at night. If you've ever seen that 70's disaster film Meteor (starring Sean Connery, Karl Marlden and a script so bad it was actually good), you'll have a fair idea what to expect!

I didn't see any. It's on tonight as well so I'm going to try again. The good thing about meteor showers is that you don't need special equiptment to see them. Telescopes don't help.

Clouds rained on the parade. It's kind of poetic. It also sounds like the story of my life. Sad

Console yourself with this stunning image of the Eagle Nebula courtesy of the Hubble telescope.

Still no meter shower sightings. Both were nights were perfectly clear here. It was pretty cold so I gave up after 20 minutes.
