I am not the only person in the world who loves old musicals! :D

Personally I like the old Lerner and Loewe productions, like Camelot and My Fair lady. There is just such an old school charm about them :-)

Victor Victoria is another one that's really worth watching.

Strictly movies, The Man who would be King and Zulu are my all time favourites.

Since I do not know many films from those ancient times, that might be Die Feuerzangenbowle. It is way older, though.

Does Braveheart count? Or The Princess Bride? I mean, they're old movies. Heh heh.
Death smiled as she withdrew. Kill an army for me, Raif Sevrance. Any less and I just might call you back.

I thought Metropolis (Fritz Lang, 1926) was fantastic. Full of great imagery, and extra fun because there's no dialogue to speak of. It's almost surprising at how much can be portrayed through the use of body language. I'd recommend it.

Akira Kurosawa's films from the 50's, 60's, 70's are great and, again, seem to feature a different kind of acting. Thy're often based on Shakespeare, without a lot of the pretentiousness that now surrounds his works. Examples: Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Hidden Fortress, Throne of Blood, Rashomon. All classics.

Loads more too I imagine, but those are the ones that spring to mind right now.
