Wow! What else can I say!

JV is teasing us :D Suddenly I understand how Biggie must feel. Its not the crunchies Biggie is after. Its the manuscript!

If I had a tail, I'd be wagging it for BookIV!
I know, I know, "thanks for that visual Dave!" heh
I just finished Master and Fool an hour ago and I have one more JV book to read, prior to next year's release, and it dawns on me that;
Fantasy is my drug of choice, JV is the dealer, and I'm, er, "Jones'ing" for more!

Dave (wag!)

A lone wolf dog straying.
Watcher of the Dead on the move.

I cannot help wondering.

That's an interesting thought, Akerbos. I did get the impression that Raif was quite far East from where Vaylo was last seen, though.

Love the extract. Even though nothing really *happens*, the way you sink into the text and his stream of consciousness is wonderful. I wonder how long it took to get to that stage vis-a-vis drafting etc. I did like the "Ice" titles, though.

Love the character's insights

It's amazing in just a few short paragraphs and you get sucked in immediately. I already can't wait to see what happens and it's wonderful how a reader can become that character. The reader is able to understand that character's train of thought and what he/she is thinking. I find that the most addicting because it really fills out a 3-dimensional display of a character and makes them so human. It draws you into the story to the point that you can believe it is real and happening somewhere in the world....
