After reading book of words trilogy and re-reading sword of shadows books does anyone else think that the rocks the the seers were bound to and the clan stones are the same kind of rock? since they both seem to be a method of magnifying powers (seers in BoW) and have some mystical powers in SoS: effies lore warning her, visions the clan guides get, raif had and i think raina.

this makes me think that the god/gods are bound to the "earth" in the world JVJ was created.

also, has there been a mention of the name of the world the 6 books are set in?

the guide stones are not connected to thiere powers. their powers are felt through their lores which are all animals except effies which is the only stone mentioned

Though the clan guides (the one's who "talk" to the stones) can get messages/visions from touching the stones. I think maybe the stones in the two series are related but don't work quite the same.

Good call on the stones. JVJ has shown us time and again that she is very careful to tie together the world into a constant place.

The two types of stone are in the same world .. so my bet is that there is a connection between them, probably on a deeper level. More about the nature of the supernatural powers.
