Man, does that man know how to give a speech! I feel myself swelling with pride and I am not an American.

I have said before though, and I will say it again... I can't help but think Obama is being set up for a fall. I pray that I am wrong, but media and popularity are fickle things.

Back to the speech. There are many parts I loved. Many sentences are going to become favoured quotes by many I think.

"That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age."

and

"...without a watchful eye, the market can spin out of control - and that a nation cannot prosper long when it favours only the prosperous."

and

"...know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy..."
