Reading the hometown enteries has been amazingly interesting. But I was especially pleased to see to other South Africans through in their 2 cents so to speak. It occurred to me that this is really becoming a world without boundaries.
Yesterday I was spinning the yarn with someone who I always just assumed was Australian, turns out she is from Iraq.

I also wanted backup Quixoticfruit claim on the delicious Bunny Chow. Yum Yum. Funny thing is just this last weekend and before I read Quixoticfruits entry, my husband was bemoaning the fact that he hadn't eaten bunny chows since leaving South Africa, so I made them, and man, we ate our figures off. Even our little first generation Australian couldn't get enough. We all paid the price of indulgence the next day - but it was so worth it!

I agree, there's some great tidbits in there! Bunny chow..ha! You people have some interesting eating habits Tough competition..it'd be awful for me to judge and pick faves..I'm glad I do not have to do it!
You're right about the small world bit too, that is one reason why I enjoy the net. Meet people from everywhere in the world, I think that is so cool
