Introductions

Hello!

I'm from Scotland, I'm 25 and I have just started reading The Baker's Boy. The reason I started reading it is because my local bookshop is out of stock of A Sword from Red Ice, so I am catching up while I wait for it to be shipped to me.

I started every chapter of Black and Grey ice mildly annoyed that it wasn't about what had happened in the previous chapter, and finished each one hoping the next chapter would be a continuation of the same storyline!

I guess that is the sign of a great writer - to have created such a vast array of characters, likeable or otherwise, and to have me desperate to know what would happen to each one.

So far, I think my favourite character is Mal Naysayer. However, it does tend to change on a fairly regular basis...

Welcome aboard dd !!!

I have several favorite characters in the sword of shadows series also, with Mal and Ark being two of them. As for the alternating story lines, they're interwoven to show that they're happening concurrently. I sometimes share your annoyance, simply because some parts of the story interest me more than others.

I'm going reverse order in the sense that I've read Cavern and Fortress twice, and am now reading Sword. I just received Baker's Boy in the mail and will start JV's original trilogy next.

If you haven't read Barbed Coil, its a must read.

chat-atcha later,

Howdy dumbdegenerate! Always good to meet a fellow fan of JVJ's work.

Mal Naysayer is definitely one of my favourite chars in the story. Very cool.
Death smiled as she withdrew. Kill an army for me, Raif Sevrance. Any less and I just might call you back.
