Book 4 Predictions

Postby Bear on Sun Aug 31, 2008 5:48 am

what are we all expecting will happen in book 4? here are some of my thoughts/predictions for discussion:

1. we find out more about Loss (like it was forged from a falling star and more about the Raven King).

2. Raina takes control of the clan but not without lots of blood spilled.

3. Drey starts some type of rebellion and escapes back to the clanholds.

4. Angus finds Cassie somehow or is hot on her trail by the end of Book 4.

5. Stillborn or Addie die.

6. Mallia and Raif sleep together.

7. Effie is the most powerful clan sorcerer in generations, or at least clan grey think that's what she'll become.

8. Ash learns to fight properly and controls the unmade more. She starts leading Mal more, and they meet the rest of the Sull and they decide to follow her.

13) Angus Lok finds his remaining daughter, secures her somewhere safe and commences to kick some serious ass in revenge for what was done to his family.

Angus is one of my favorite characters, so I like to think that he will remain a POV character and will get to extract his revenge before JV brings closure to the series.

14. More of Mal's past, and his importance, is revealed.

15. Heh, we find out Raif's parentage.

16. Drey and the Knife team up to form a crime-fighting Duo .. oh wait. Wrong genre.

Clans become aware of the threat of the unmade, and scamper to form a united front with the cities.

Raina gains control of blackhail and the scarpes including Mace are dumped.

Betrayal - Robbie vs Mace

Raif builds himself a nifty army out of the maimed men.

Ash builds herself a nifty army out of sull.

Effie comes into her own and is a force to be reckoned with.

#247 The Unguru Clan is absolutely no help in the fight against the Unmade; preferring instead to warm their arses at their hearthfire, while drinking ale and writing jokes about those pansy city clans!
Worst of the Lot is their Chief, Stu Jester LOL!!!

jk Stu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Apologies. This is definitely not a joke thread, although humorous, heh.

Back to the intent of the thread ..

I am pretty convinced that Ash is Sull, or at least part Sull.

Back to predictions...
JV releases the 4th book and blows us all away with her pure brilliance and unpredictability. We all receive a signed copy for being such good fans.

Witchary,

I suspect you may be correct on the "partially Sull" comment.
Perhaps Ash was a love child of a trenchlander and a clansman, or something along those lines.

Due to the distance between Spire Vanis and the Sull land, I would guess that Ash is not fully Sull.

In the prologue from Cavern, Ash's mother's name, Tarissa, sounds (to me) like it would be a first name for a girl born to either a city or a clan. As for the black boots at the end of the prologue (top of page 4), I suspect that they belong to the Knife and that Iss and his sorcery are also nearby.

As for your back-to-back predictions; I wholeheartedly agree on the first part, I think thats a given. As part deuce, we may have to watch out for JV's book signing schedule to help that one come to pass, heh.

Dave, I think you are right with the black boots scene.

Also think maybe Ash is a lovechild. Wouldn't it be something if Mal turned out to be her real dad though? Right race, right age, always out on the road, loves her unconditionally, calls her daughter. Bit suspicious if you ask me...
